The deck is made from 9-ply Baltic Birch with a polyurethane clear coat, with anti-slip die-cut grip tape applied. The scooter's wooden deck provides a skateboard feel, providing a bit of flexibility, but because the deck is bolted to an all-aluminum frame it can support adults over 800 lbs (363 kgs). Also the flexibility offered by the wooden deck makes the Cruz more forgiving over road and sidewalk imperfections (potholes, cracks, etc.). It offers a wide deck which provides comfortable cruising, allowing you to have both feet side by side on the deck unlike other adult kick scooters. The wheels are die cast aluminum rims with our ultra-low-resistance polyurethane tire. Includes both a front brake and rear fender stomp brake.This is not an electric or motorized scooter. This scooter is human powered, so its speed and range all depends on the rider. Due to our exotic, polyurethane blend on our wheels, you can easily cover 1 to 2 miles in a few minutes without breaking a sweat.
