Hitachi equipped the C12FDH with its exclusive Laser Marker System, which can be activated before the blade is in motion for exact alignment and predictable blade placement. A splinter guard increases safety and reduces tear-out for clean, finished cuts, and a comfortable horizontal handle with a vibration-reducing elastomer grip prevents slippage and keeps you in control at all times. The large base provides support and balance to prevent material from warping, and a built-in clamping system holds your work piece in place. The thumb-actuated positive miter stops allow for simple miter adjustments between 0 and 52-degrees left and right for quick cut changes in crown molding and other trim pieces. The bevel scale ranges from 0 to 48-degrees left and right, allowing your material to stay in place while you flip the saw head to make opposing cuts. The large extended flip fence raises to 5-1/8-inches to allow for accurate vertical cutting of crown molding and work pieces up to 2-5/16-inches high and 5-21/32-inches deep.
