For example, objects like a piece of driftwood or an athletic shoe scan well (rigid, asymmetrical, enough volume, with highly varied color detail), whereas objects like a narrow twig or small toy car do not scan well (not enough volume, with potentially moving parts, thin edges, and/or transparent/shiny/dark surfaces).
