Best Lee Peas

The Little Wizard Bean & Pea Sheller will fly through the task of shelling peas and beans! No adjustments required! Just feed the pods into the sheller's upper slot and they zip right through. The empty pods pass through sheller and the shelled peas/beans roll down the trough into your pan beneath. This pea sheller comes with a hand-crank, but also runs with your electric hand mixer or your own light-duty electric drill for even faster production. To utilize a powered device, remove the hand-crank handle and then attached the drill to the longer top shaft opposite of the hand crank. The drill must be operated at low speed. Operation with a high speed drill will result in stripped gears. VERY IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ ===>> Note concerning function and use: This simple device will save time and labor with only a small amount mashing or squashing when peas or beans are ripe. Beans should be picked and allowed to "cure" for 12-24 hours before shelling. Then they should then be washed and allowed to dry briefly for best results. It is best to try to feed the peas into the rollers "bloom end" first (opposite the end where the bean was attached to the stem of the plant). Note that very large beans will likely have trouble feeding into the rollers. The Little Wizard's favorite types of beans to shell are purple hull and black-eyed peas. Most other hand-shelled peas and beans can be shelled by the Little Wizard, with varying results based upon ripeness and user "technique". ****Follow all instructions (included) for best results.
