Offered by American Mug Pottery this butter keeper is hand made in East Liverpool, Ohio. East Liverpool, Ohio was once known as the pottery capital of the world before companies began to outsource their production to China and other foreign countries. This butter keeper is handcrafted in quality stoneware the old-fashioned way. Each butter keeper is made using the slip-cast method, finished by hand and kiln-fired in a factory that was built in the early 1900s.
