It is combined with an aggressive adhesive formulated for high bond strength. Tear-Aid expands absorbing force on impact and always returns to original shape and size. This flexibility allows the patch to conform to irregular surfaces without restricting the movement of the repaired material. The TEAR-AID Type B vinyl repair patch sticks to - Vinyl and Vinyl-coated material ONLY. Vinyl has oils that are absorbed by most adhesives which causes the adhesive to turn gooey, gummy, and ultimately lose bond. Tear-Aid vinyl repair patches contain an inhibitor that blocks the oils found in vinyl resulting in a long lasting repair. This repair kit includes heavy duty 1000 denier reinforced vinyl coated fabric strips with Vinyl Pool Repair Kit. Repair Kit Includes: (2) 9.5cm x 20cm vinyl sheets; 1 fl oz. (30ml) tube of vinyl cement; Recommended age 14+ Application instructions: Clean all surfaces to be patched thoroughly using a vinyl surface cleaner. Cut the patch larger than the area to be patched. Cut the patch with rounded corners to prevent peeling. Light gauge vinyl & inflatable pools: Apply the adhesive sparingly to patch, covering it evenly all over. Heavy gauge vinyl & pool liners: Apply the adhesive liberally to patch, covering it evenly all over. Out of the water: Apply patch to cover damaged area being sure to press out all air bubbles. If possible, apply weight to the patch and allow 24 hours to reach full bond strength.
