Arkon’s CMPHD006 Heavy-Duty Aluminum Mount with 8” Multi-Angle Arm and 4-Hole AMPS Drill Base is designed for installations where mounting a camera to a wall or other flat solid surface (including car dashboards) is desired. The mount base uses a 4-Hole AMPS pattern to attach to the wall (screws are included) or other surface. (Formerly an industry standard, the 4-Hole AMPS pattern consists of four holes located in a rectangular pattern spaced at 30.17mm by 38.05mm, measured as the center-to-center distance between holes) CMPHD006 offers a 1/4”-20 mounting bolt for attaching compatible cameras, such as close-circuit television (CCTV) or security cameras, in-vehicle camera systems, POV cameras, point-and-shoot cameras, camcorders, or any device with a 1/4”-20 threaded mounting pattern. This mount includes Arkon’s Heavy-Duty Aluminum Mount with 8” Multi-Angle Arm and 4-Hole AMPS Drill Base. This sturdy 8”mount features three adjustment knobs at 2.5” intervals on the mount arm for easy positioning. Two additional 180° adjustment points at both the top and bottom of the mount provide additional flexibility in positioning the camera.

For most devices, the best mount holder configuration is to attach 2 short support legs on top and the 2 long support legs on the bottom of the holder. The car seat rail or floor mount is made of strong aluminum, and is ideal for those who need easy access to their devices but prefer mounting them somewhere other than the windshield or dash. Use a socket wrench to loosen the passenger seat track bolt, then insert the included seat track bolt bracket and retighten the bolt. Bend the 22” gooseneck and rotate the swivel ball adapter head for 360° rotation of the device. Optional floor brackets are included for screwing the mount into the floor of the vehicle. (Warning: Drilling into the vehicle’s floor may damage the vehicle. Use caution and consult a mobile install professional to avoid drilling into any sensitive vehicle components.)

Use the mount for live broadcasting or for capturing the beauty of scenic drives or the action on race tracks. GPRMS079 features a 4” arm and is ideal for tight areas where a smaller pedestal is beneficial. The mount is compatible with all models of the GoPro HERO, including GoPro HERO5, HERO Session, HERO4, HERO3+, HERO3, HERO2, and HERO. The mount is also compatible with the Garmin VIRB XE and the 360fly, a 360-degree panoramic camera. GPRMS079 includes a Robust Series small pedestal with sticky suction base and GoPro adapter. The pedestal measures approximately 6.5 inches from the bottom of the base to the top of the pedestal (not including holder), and swivels on both the top and the bottom, providing 360-degree rotation and the ultimate flexibility in positioning the GoPro HERO at any angle. Though the 80mm sticky suction base uses a combination of polyurethane gel and suction to provide a maximum surface bond in all climates, the mount is removable and reusable. To restore the suction, just rinse the pad with a mild liquid soap and warm water then air dry. In order to prevent permanent indentation marks on soft vinyl, leather, or similar dash surfaces, Arkon recommends using the included 3M adhesive dash mounting disk. For use with 1/4”-20 compatible cameras, simply unscrew the GoPro adapter to reveal a 1/4”-20 mounting bolt.
