Best Corningware Butter Dishes

SET OF TWO * RARE & HARD TO FIND - "SIDEKICK" Plates / Dish. These are the original SMOOTH BOTTOM * ALL PYROCERAM GLASS * MADE IN USA. Vintage Corning Ware SIDEKICK P-140-B Individual Serving Baking Dish that has the smooth bottom, made of the original Corning Ware Pyroceram Glass, Made in USA. The vintage Pyroceram Glass Corning Ware bakeware items are becoming increasingly difficult to find. Each plate MEASURES: appx. 7" inches across the top outside rim to outside rim by 4 3/4" inches wide). Corning Ware measurements if stamped on the bottom will read either 4 1/2 X 6 3/4 or 11 cm X 17 cm. These were made with two different types of stamps on the bottom of them depending on when they were made and at what mfg. plant. The "Ink Block Stamped" reads: SIDEKICK, CORNING WARE, P-140-B 4 1/2 X 6 3/4, FOR OVEN AND MICROWAVE, CORNING, N.Y., U.S.A, and a mfg. date such as 183 MA (factory / production date number sequence such as 183 = a mfg. date is 1983 by the stamp). The other bottom stamp that you will see on these Vintage Sidekicks dishes can be the raised braille like stamp which is called the "EMBOSSED STAMP" and it will be stamped CORNING or CORNING WARE then P-140-B, 11 cm X 17 cm. The "Ink Block Stamp" only appeared from 1978 to appx. 1985/86, the raised "Embossed Stamp" was produced from 1985-2001 - stamping depending on the manufacturing plant where it was made at the time. Both stamps on the SideKicks are considered a Highly Collectible Vintage Corning Ware item for the Avid Corning Ware Collector as they are made of the original all Pyroceram Glass and were Made in the USA.
