The entire project is traced from full-size patterns, making it easy enough for most beginners. Just trace the pieces onto standard lumber, cut out, sand and assemble using glue and screws. To finish, add sealer, paint or stain. When open, the chair measures 37 inches tall by 24 inches wide by 39 inches deep; it folds to 50 inches tall by 24 inches wide by just 20 inches deep. We made outs out of cedar but you can use a wood of your choice. Plan includes full size patterns for irregular shaped pieces, cutting diagram and easy-to-follow instructions. Wood and Supplies needed: (2) 1 x 8 x 96 inch cedar. (3) 1 x 6 x 96 inch cedar. You will also need spray adhesive, glue, double faced tape, roundhead screws with flat washers and wing nuts, bushings, carriage bolts with flat washers and wing nuts, deck screws, and a few other items listed on the plan. Tools needed: Jig saw, circular saw, drill and common hand tools. Skill level - Beginner. The designer of this plan has created the project using the simplest of construction and cutting methods.
