With its 700-watt heating base, this fondue maker eliminates the fuss of heating a mixture on the stovetop first and then lighting a chemical burner underneath the serving pot. The base has four temperature settings for heating cheese, broth, oil, and chocolate fondues from scratch and then maintaining them at a serving temperature. The fondue maker is also useful for serving warm buffet food and hot dips such as bagna cauda. Handsomely made of stainless steel with a satin finish, the pot holds 2 quarts, ample for six guests. It has a rubberized, stay-cool handle with a stainless-steel inset. The base is clad in matching stainless steel, with a black plastic accent band around the bottom.
