The IST RETRO Intercom Room Station is the indoor intercom station for the IST RETRO Music & Intercom System. Designed to replace pre-existing room stations, no new wiring is required. Once installed, the Room Station allows you to play music distributed from the Master Station and communicate with other stations in your system. The Master Station supports up to 13 room/patio stations. When a call is initiated from any station in the system, all stations will be paged for the call. When the call is answered, the conversation becomes private to the two stations involved, and the receiving station can talk hands-free. You can also use any Room Station to listen in on other individual or multiple stations, perfect for monitoring children. In addition to intercom communication, the Room Station allows you to play audio from the radio or any source connected to the Master Station. Two different sources can be played through different stations simultaneously, so one family member can listen to radio while another listens to an external audio source. Station Controls: Source Button: Press to select the auxiliary input. Press and hold to listen to the Door Station (sold separately). Talk Button: Initiates call to all intercom stations in the system. Listen Button: Answers a call and enables hands-free communication. Volume Knob: Controls the volume of the intercom and music. The M&S Systems DMC3 4 Music/Communication Retrofit System Master Black is a full function intercom and music distribution system designed for retrofit applications in residential use. The master unit can replace older intercom systems that use three wire or four wire connections to the room stations. The system supports up to 15 room stations and up to three door speakers. The built in AM/FM radio tuner allows setting eight AM station presets and eight FM station presets. The backlit liquid crystal display shows the operation mode, audio source, radio frequency, volume setting, and time. With the optional M&S DMC1MM iPlay Dock or M&S DMCMP3 CD/MP3 player installed, the display shows the disc number selected and the track number currently playing. Room stations have pushbuttons that control the system operation. Retrofit room and patio stations connect to the master unit using the installation s existing wiring. All room station models can select talk or listen to other room stations, door speakers and the master unit. Each has an intercom volume control. The M&S DMC3RS or DMC4RS room stations and DMC3RW or DMC4RW patio stations can select the audio source, control the radio tuner, and set the master music volume. For access control, the optional M&S DRW Door Release Mechanism can be installed and activated from the master unit or room stations. The optional three note M&S MC3 or eight note M&S MC8 chime modules provide a selection of door chime sounds. NOTE: All room stations, patio stations, and door speakers must be replaced when installing a DMC3 4 retrofit system.
