The Lynx 1 is loaded with features and is great for your solo getaway. With the freestanding design and pole clips that quickly attach to the aluminum poles, it sets up easily. There are extra-large #8 zippers on the door and vestibule. What's especially nice about the Lynx is that the walls are mostly mesh, which helps increase ventilation. To be sure no corners are cut, ALPS has the factory seal the fly and floor seams and coats the floor with 2000mm to keep you dry if you run into a rain shower.

The Lunar Solo has been newly constructed with 100% Silicone coated Polyester material. The Canopy is 20D material and the floor has been constructed with 40D material for additional strength. The canopy stretch has been decreased along with the packed volume. We have also made the main guy line a reflective cord and guy outs for the corners are also now reflective. The Lunar Solo's distinctive low hexagonal shape easily spills the wind no matter the direction. Short, steeply sloped sides, handle snow or high winds with ease. A generous canopy covers a 26 sq. ft. sleeping area plus 8.5 sq. ft. of vestibule storage. The 48" peak height set in the middle of the tent maximizes room for sitting and taking care of chores. The sleeping area is a surrounded 6-inch deep bathtub floor, topped by 6 inches of mesh. This ensures excellent ventilation while keeping you separated from low canopy walls. This keeps you drier on those occasions when condensation forms on the canopy. The vestibule is set on the long side of the tent to maximize views and ventilation when fully open. Since silicone is inert, it has the added benefit that it will never mold or mildew. To seam seal silicone nylon, you will need a silicone-based sealer. The silicone in the sealer will form a permanent bond with the silicone in the fabric once seam sealed and your tent will last for years. For Silicone Fabrics, we recommend using McNett's Seam Grip + Sil.

When we set out to design a sub-two pound tent, we didn’t want to give up many of the features that our competitors do, sacrificing comfort (all things being relative), convenience, space, and ease of use. We also wanted it to be a double wall shelter. This meant it would have a separate mesh body, covered by an outer rainfly, allowing water vapor inside to be swept outside with the increased draft or to gather on the rainfly and run off onto the ground instead of dripping directly onto the user or running down into the tub floor to puddle as is the case with single wall tents.
